Word and Math Connection Narrative

Learner:Stephan     Learning Coach: Mr Hattie          Date: 10 March 2016
Learning Area: Learning Habitat 1 - Mathematics
Learning Observed
I was teaching some learners a new literacy game. The game is called “Dice Words” and the aim is to make words and add up the points of the words. Each dice and letter has a specific number of points written on the dice. I was teaching this as a literacy game, but Stephan made a great Connection and suggested that we play this in math time as he was using the Capabilities that he has gained in his math lessons. Since learning this game Stephan has taught one or two others how to play and is asking me a few times a day if he can play. He has been seen working Collaboratively and independently.
Evidence of learning
Stephan forming words and letting me know how much he scored.
